Confession Class Given to Youth of All Saints Church, Olyphant, PA

OLYPHANT, PA [DOEPA]

On Wednesday, March 13, 2025, Priest Paul Witek, Rector, gave an educational class to the youth of All Saints Church in Olyphant, PA, on the topic of confession.

Father Paul led the session primarily for the youth of the parish who are preparing to take part in the sacrament of confession, some for the first time. The lesson focused on helping the youth understand the significance of confession, its role in the life of a Christian, and how it serves as a means of spiritual healing with God.

To illustrate the burden of sin and how confession is a process by which it is removed, Fr. Paul had the youth hold stones, rocks, and bricks for some time and then release them, symbolizing the loosening of sin that confession brings. This activity provided a powerful visual representation of how the weight of sin can be lifted through the sacrament.

The session was a meaningful and impactful experience, helping the youth better understand and prepare for this important step in their spiritual lives.

Glory to God for all things!
