BATH, PA [DOEPA COMMUNICATIONS]
On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, the beginning of the Civil New Year, on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Mark, the Diocesan Media Office extends heartfelt New Year wishes to the clergy, matushki, and faithful of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania.
In 2024, the Diocese was blessed with many significant events, including ordinations, weddings, baptisms, and the celebration of Feast Days. The Diocese also hosted two youth retreats, a women's retreat, the founding of the St. Alexis Toth Brotherhood, and the annual St. Tikhon's Summer Camp for the youth.
While there were several changes within the Diocese this year, these challenges have ultimately helped to strengthen the community and its mission.
Additionally, the Diocese sent checks to retired clergy and their widows, supported charity ministry, and made donations to seminarian families. These efforts, along with the sacrifices of all clergy and their families, are deeply appreciated. The dedication of the clergy, matushki, and faithful has been vital to the Diocese's growth as they work together to build the Kingdom of God on earth.
As the Diocese looks ahead to 2025, prayers are requested for continued growth in faith, unity, and service. The year ahead presents opportunities to support one another and carry out the shared mission of the Church.
May the Lord continue to bless all the clergy, matushki, and faithful of the Diocese in the coming year!
