On Tuesday November 12th. St Nicholas Church in Olyphant, PA sponsored a Senior Appreciation Day in their Church hall. Dr. Kathleen Evanina presented a very informative talk on Community Resources available to senior citizens and those with disabilities. Over forty five persons from six area Orthodox parishes and non-Orthodox attended the presentation. Salad and soup was served to all afterwards. Many positive comments were made about the presentation and fellowship that day. There were also many requests for more affairs in the future. The faithful of St. Nicholas are already planning for more events after the 1st of the year.
