Diocesan Seminarian Assists with Confection of Holy Chrism
On Great and Holy Monday, April 29, Our Diocesan Seminarian, Priest Kirill Zawatski assisted with the confection of Holy Chrism for the Orthodox Church in America at St. Tikhon's Monastery in South Canaan, PA.
The Holy Chrism will be used to anoint the faithful being received into the Orthodox Church in the coming years. The Holy Chrism is made up of 30 different ingredients and will be continually stirred while the Holy Gospels are being read in the room which holds the relics of our Holy Saints from now until Holy Thursday.
