St. Michael's Celebrates Feast with Blessing of Willows - 04/09/2023
On April 9th, 2023, Father Barnabas Fravel celebrated a beautiful Liturgy for Palm Sunday at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Mt. Carmel Following Liturgy, the children were read the story of Palm Sunday and did a craft using the pussy willows. About 50 years ago Matushka Frances Vinyard taught Sunday school at St. Michael’s and on a Palm Sunday the children painted with pussy willows. As a tribute to Matushka Frances the same lesson was done with her great granddaughters at Sunday School this Sunday.
