The Department of Youth Ministry of the Diocese of New York and New Jerset is hosting a Virtual Winter Teen Retreat for Teens in Grades 6-12 on Wednesday, December 30th.
The day will begin at 11:30am EST and be split into two sessions, 11:30am-2:30pm EST and 6:30-8:30pm EST. There is no fee to participate.
Our discussions will focus on Saint Herman of Alaska in honor of the 50th Anniversary of his canonization, in addition to sainthood and holiness. An opening reflection will be offered by His Eminence, Archbishop Michael at the start of the event, and our guest speaker, Archpriest Benjamin Tucci, will lead the sessions. God-willing, we will take a virtual field trip to Kodiak, Alaska.

All Teens in Grades 6-12 are invited and encouraged to attend, including those from other OCA dioceses and Orthodox jurisdictions. We look forward to welcoming both old and new faces!
The beauty of having a virtual event is that you are free to "come and go" as you wish. While we encourage everyone to be with us for both sessions to get the most out of the day and enjoy fellowship, we will not be keeping attendance :)
Register here before December 29th. Please note that a link to the live session will be sent out closer to December 30th, as the number of registrants will determine which virtual meeting platform will be used.
In addition to Father Benjamin and myself, several youth workers have been selected to support the event to ensure that all runs smoothly.
Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions!
In Christ,
Danielle Geeza
