St. John the Baptist Blesses Flowers and Herbs for the Feast - 08/16/2020
The community of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA celebrated the Feast of the Dormition, the Falling Asleep of the Theotokos. The parish gathered for Great Vespers and Litya on Friday evening, August 14th and then for Saturday morning, the community gathered for Divine Liturgy. At the conclusion of the service Father Silouan blessed flowers and herbs as is custom for this feast day.
