\On August 21, 22, and 23, St. Stephen’s Cathedral held its annual Vacation Church School. 34 children participated in day camp activities and also had the opportunity to prepare food for the homeless in Philadelphia. Donations from parishioners for Vacation Church School and $416 raised from various fund raisers enabled the parish to prepare 50 power pack bags to feed the homeless. Because of parishioner financial support the homeless were also provided with a hot sandwich, a hard boiled egg, bottled water, and cookies. The Vacation Church School was successful this year and continues to grow because of the stewardship of Sunday School teachers and volunteers who donate their time and talent, and the financial stewardship of everyone who donated items and money for the School activities and food for the homeless.
