St. Nicholas Orthodox Church holds Good Friday Vespers and Lamentations - 04/14/2017
On April 14, 2017, Fr. James Weremedic, Rector of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Bethlehem, PA, assisted by Fr. James Mason, led the parishioners in Good Friday’s, Burial Vespers and Matins - Laminations. For Burial Vespers Christ was taken down from the Cross and placed in a tomb. During Matins - Laminations at the tomb, the parishioners conducted an outdoor procession around the church. Now an All Night Watch at the tomb of Christ by reading the Psalms throughout the night.
