Boy Scouts Recognized on Scout Sunday
On Sunday, February 5, 2017, Scouts and Scouters were recognized following Divine Liturgy at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA. Life Scout Ivan Gingo, Life Scout Vladimir Gingo, and Scout Maxim Gingo - all of Troop 281 in Dallas, PA - assisted during Divine Liturgy as Altar Boys. February 5 is designated as “Scout Sunday” by the Orthodox Church of America.
In conjunction with the celebration on Sunday, February 5, 2017, the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America has posted a special letter on its web site.
