St. John the Baptist Sunday School Makes Special Presentation - 01/08/2017
On a frigid Sunday, January 8, following Divine Liturgy, the Sunday School of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA presented their annual Nativity Yolka. The children recited short poems and sang traditional Christmas songs in English and Slovanic. Following the program, a potluck dinner was held in Repella Hall. As dinner was wrapping up, those gathered sang the Hymn to Saint Nicholas, and were visited by a very special guest! St. Nicholas greeted all and passed out gifts to everyone. Before St. Nicholas departed, he helped the Sunday School present a $500 donation to the parish’s Roof project Fund.
