On Saturday, March 28, St.Stephen's Orthodox Catholic Fellowship, Chapter #82 of the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America, will host the annual Colonial District Religious Education Day at St. Stephen's Cathedral at 8598 Verree Road in Northeast Philadelphia. The guest speaker for the day will be Rev. Andrew Stephen Damick, pastor of St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church in Emmaus, PA. The day will begin with Divine Liturgy starting at 9:00. After coffee and registration, Fr. Andrew's morning topic will be, "An Unknown and Yet Well-Known: Introducing the Orthodox Church in American Culture." Following a light lenten lunch, Fr. Andrew will speak on, "The Church in This Place: Orthodoxy in My Hometown." The day will conclude with evening vespers at 5:00. To cover expenses, an offering of $5.00 will be requested from adults. Children and students will be free. The annual Religious Education Day is in keeping with the F.O.C.A.'s motto: Pray, Study, Toil and Be Temperate.
