St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church a cappella choir will present a concert of Orthodox liturgical hymns of the Nativity season and Russian Christmas carols on Sunday, December 14 at 3:30 p.m. in the Church. Traditional Valaam, Kievan, and Serbian chants along with arrangements by well known Russian composers will include O House of Ephrata, Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos by Rachmaninoff, Glory to God in the Highest by Bortniansky, and The Kanon of the Feast by Allemanov. Traditional Russian Christmas carols will be sung in Russian and English. The Choir is under the direction of Reader Nicholas Lezinsky. A free will offering will be taken. Following the concert, light refreshments will be served in the Chernay Fellowship Hall. The Church is located at 980 Bridle Path Road (between Route 512, Center Street, and Jacksonville Road).
