Ancient Kursk-Root Icon Visits Holy Trinity Orthodox Church - 03/05/2014
The ancient 13th century Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God visited Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Stroudsburg on Wednesday, March 5. Nadejda Mamysheva of Morganville New Jersey is shown here venerating the icon in this photo. Mamysheva has seen the icon before, in her homeland of Russia. Many faithful came from the Stroudsburg community and surrounding area to pray before the Holy Icon and attend the Akathist service.
