Holy Trinity Stroudsburg Hosts First Soup Kitchen at Home

Holy Trinity hosted their first Soup Kitchen at home in their Fellowship Hall on Friday, September 13.  Previously, Holy Trinity had been serving a meal monthly for the last 1-1/2 years at the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church on the second Friday of each month.
Fifty-one of our friends and neighbors were welcomed and served a meal of chicken, baked ziti, cheeseburgers, salad, vegetables, bread and desserts.  We thank Panera Bread in Stroudsburg for their generous donation of bread and baked goods which were distributed to everyone to take home.  We were also blessed to have 23 Holy Trinity parishioners volunteer to help shop, cook, prepare, serve and clean-up for this ministry held for the first time on our church home premises.
Our Soup Kitchens are held every second Friday of the month with serving at 5:00 PM.  Transportation is provided from the Library on Chipperfield and Route 611.  All are welcome!  The next Soup Kitchen will be held on Friday, October 11.  Our Community Breakfast is also open to everyone, is free, and held the last Saturday of each month with serving at 10:00 AM.
