Fr. David Mahaffey recently met with Alaskan leadership including State Representative Cathy Muñoz (Representing Juneau) and State Senator Gary Stevens (of Kodiak) in the Capital at Juneau.
Fr. David, along with Dr. Richard Dauenhauer were visiting the leadership between budget meetings to remind them of the importance of preservation of the historic Russian Churches and buildings being restored by ROSSIA (Russian Orthodox Sacred Sites In Alaska) and looking for their support.
That evening, Fr. David served Presactified Liturgy at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Juneau. Fr. David and Dr. Dauenhauer will be introduced to the Legislative Assembly by Representative Muñoz at the opening of the Legislative Session.
