Holy Resurrection Welcomes His Grace, Bishop MELCHISEDEK - 03/24/2013
On Sunday, March 24, 2013, the faithful of the Wilkes-Barre Deanery gathered to celebrate Sunday of Orthodoxy Vespers at Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Wilkes-Barre. Very Reverend Joseph Martin welcomed His Grace, Bishop MELCHISEDEK and members of both the Wilkes-Barre and Frackville Deanery to celebrate the first Sunday of the Great Fast. The Wyoming Valley Pan-Orthodox Choir served ably at the simply beautiful Vesper Service. Following the service, guests were welcomed to the Church hall for a light meal and Orthodox fellowship. The first Mission Service in the Wilkes-Barre Deanery was an inspirational way to begin the Great Fast.
