Downtown Bible Study with Bishop TIKHON - 11/24/2010
On Wednesday November 24th, His Grace Bishop TIKHON joined the weekly noon-time downtown Pan-Orthodox Bible Study at 33 N. 2nd Street in Harrisburg. The group recently completed their study of the Gospel According to St. Mark, and began their study of the Acts of the Apostles. We are thankful for Bishop TIKHON's archpastoral blessing as we continue the work of studying the Holy Scriptures, and using that knowledge to inspire us to be "doer's" of the Gospel as well. Note: All are encouraged to join the Bible Study every Wednesday at 12pm (33 N. 2nd Street, Harrisburg), contact Fr. Timothy Hojnicki (Holy Apostles Orthodox Mission, Mechanicsburg) or Fr. Thanksgiving Food Drive Donations - 11/22/2010
On Tuesday, November 22nd parish clergy distributed the canned/dried goods, and turkeys so generously donated by the faithful of Christ the Saviour parish, to their neighbors in need. In addition to the food items collected, they also distributed over $420 in grocery store gift cards that were submitted to the parish office. As we pray during the Liturgy, we ask that God will remember "those who remember the poor" and send upon them His rich mercies.(6 images)
