FOCA Youth Retreat - 01/16/2010
For three days, January 16 - 18, youth from throughout the diocese gathered in Waymart, near St. Tikhon's Monastery, for a winter retreat. The purpose of the retreat was to bring Orthodox Christian youth together for fellowship, bonding, and spiritual growth in accordance with the ancient traditions of the Orthodox Christian faith. The youth engaged in fun activities that encouraged communication and interaction. Structured lessons and discussions focused upon the struggles and stresses of being an Orthodox Christian in a non-Orthodox world. Participants had an opportunity to attend Vigil and Divine Liturgy at St. Tikhon's Monastery to get a glimpse into the monastic life.(7 images)
