Akathist at St. Michael Orthodox Church in Old Forge 7/14/09
An Akathist ("Glory to God for all Things") will be served at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14 to commemorate the founding of St. Michael's Orthodox Church in Old Forge. This year marks the 118th anniversary of St. Michael's parish and the Akathist will be celebrated on the actual calendar date of the founding. His Grace, Bishop TIKHON will be the main celebrant. All attending clergy are invited to serve as well for this joyous event (Gold vestments). A social with refreshments will be held after the service.
