Holy Wednesday in the Frackville and Wilkes Barre Deaneries - 04/15/2009
Wednesday, April 15, 2009The Frackville Deanery held the service of Holy Anointing on Holy
Wednesday at St Mary’s Orthodox Church in Coaldale. His Grace, Bishop Tikhon, presided together with clergy of the deanery. The faithful were anointed with the Holy Oil at the conclusion of the service and a Lenten meal was served in the Church hall.
The service of Holy Anointing was also held in the Wilkes-Barre
Deanery at St Michael’s Orthodox Church in Jermyn. Over 130 faithful
were in attendance to receive anointing and to participate in this
sacred service. A meal was prepared for all in the parish hall
following the services.
