On October 6th, His Eminence, Archbishop Tikhon of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, presided at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the annual Orthodox Education Day at St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary.
His Grace, Bishop Michael of New York and New Jersey and His Grace, Bishop Mark of Baltimore shared in the joy of this event by concelebrating the Hierarchical Divine liturgy that day along with many local clergy.
In addition, St. Vladimir's Seminary was blessed by the presence of the Myrrh-streaming Icon of St. Anna brought by Archimandrite Afanassy from St. Tikhon's Monastery. The Orthodox Education Day Program continued with an Akathist service celebrated by His Eminence, Archbishop Tikhon. After the service, all the guests present were anointed with the oil from the weeping Icon of St. Anna.
Everyone who came this year had an opportunity to partake of a variety of ethnic foods, to visit the Seminary library display of icons from the British Isles, to participate in lectures and discussions and to enjoy traditional national dances.
