On Saturday, July 7th, His Eminence, Archbishop Tikhon, served a Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of Saint Tikhon of Zadonsk in South Canaan, PA. The service was beautifully sung by the youth participating in the Summer Camp Program under the direction of Lori Nescott. Following the Liturgy a breakfast was served to all in attendance.
St. Tikhon's Summer Camp provides Orthodox young people a unique experience of growing in their relationship with Christ by attending the Divine Services, learning more about all aspects of the Orthodox Faith, meeting new friends by participating in the camp activities, and enjoying the beauty of nature around St. Tikhon's.
The Divine Liturgy at the Monastery Church completes the 2012 St. Tikhon's Summer Camp Program.
The Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania and His Eminence, Archbishop Tikhon, is grateful to the Camp Directors, Kimberly Metz, Tatiana Bohush, and Nicholas Macura, to the camp counselors, staff, cooks and kitchen helpers, and to all the people involved in this event, for all their work performed to make St. Tikhon's Summer Camp a place of joy and spiritual growth of our Orthodox youth.
