Summer Camp Continues Under New Direction - 01/11/11

Saint Tikhon’s Summer Camp program was founded in 1971 as an initiative of the Seminary to encourage Orthodox youth to play and pray together. Now entering its 40th year, the camp will celebrate its first season operating under the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania this July 3-9, 2011.

Tatiana Bohush, Nicholas Macura, and Kimberly Metz of the Office of Young Adult Activities were recently appointed as Co-Directors of the camp program. They have been directly involved with camp administration and planning for nine years, and since 2005, their Teen Camp program has shown great success. Their first goal as Co-Directors is to exceed government standards for the operation of the camp (and eventually to earn accreditation from the American Camp Association), while never losing sight of its rich traditions and history.

Registration materials for campers and counselors will be made available on the new camp website, www.sttikhonscamp.org, in March.
