On Friday, May 10, Bright Friday, His Eminence, Archbishop Mark made an Archpastoral Visit to Theotokos of the Life-Giving Spring Russian Orthodox Mission in Philadelphia, PA, on the occasion of their Patronal Feastday.

During the Hierarchical Liturgy, His Eminence elevated Priest Nicholai Gulin to the rank of Archpriest. Axios!

Serving with His Eminence were Archpriest Nicholai Gulin, Rector of Theotokos of the Life-Giving Spring Mission, Archpriest Victor Gorodenchuk, Dean of the Philadelphia Deanery and Dean of St. Stephen's Cathedral the Diocesan Cathedral of Eastern Pennsylvania, Archpriest George Gulin, Rector of St. Barbara Church in Orange County, CA, Archpriest Timothy Hojnicki, Dean of the Frackville Deanery and Rector of Holy Apostles Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, Hieromonk Modai Maamdi, Rector of St. George Georgian Church in Philadelphia, PA, and Priest Alexander Revyuk, Rector of Holy Trinity Church in Brookyln, NY, and Archdeacon Igor Panachev, Attached to St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York, NY.

His Eminence offered the homily, speaking about the miracle of the Theotokos and the Life-Giving spring and the greatest miracle to ever come from the Theotokos was the birth of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God.

Following the Liturgy, His Eminence offered words of encouragement to the newly elevated Archpriest Nicholai and presented roses to his wife, Matushka Viktoriya. His Eminence was presented with a patronal icon of the parish in honor of the ocassion of his 10th anniversary of enthronement as diocesan hierarch of the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania. A festal meal accompanied by singing was held in the church hall downstairs.

May God grant His Eminence Archbishop Mark, on the occasion of his 10th Enthronement as Diocesan Hierarch for the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania, The newly elevated Archpriest Nicholai, Matushka Viktoriya, and their family, as well as the faithful of the Life-Giving Spring Mission, Many Years!
