St. Michael's visited by His Eminence, Archbishop Mark - 03/24/24
On March 24, The Sunday of Orthodoxy, His Eminence, Archbishop Mark visited St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Wilmington, DE. Prior to the Divine Liturgy Nicholas DiDonato was tonsured a Reader and then ordained a Subdeacon by His Eminence. With anticipation, the faithful look forward to Nicholas's continued journey within the ecclesiastical ranks, hopeful for his eventual ordination as a Deacon later this year. Axios!
His Eminence offered the homily on the struggles of Lent and how we must keep pushing forward. Following the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Mark along with Fr. Silouan Burns, Rector of St. Michael's Church, led a procession to commemorate the Sunday of Orthodoxy. The faithful reaffirmed their commitment to the Orthodox faith through the triumphant reading of the ancient Synodikon, the affirmation of the Orthodox Faith.
May God grant His Eminence, Archbishop Mark, the newly ordained Subdeacon Nicholas and his family, and the faithful of St. Michael's Church for Many Years!
