St. John the Baptist Gathers for Liturgy of St. Basil the Great - 04/15/23
n Saturday, April 15, the community of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA gathered for the Liturgy of St. Basil the Great, with the 15 Old Testament readings. Many parishioners participated by reading the passages during the service. The community was overjoyed to welcome two new faces to the service. During his homily, Fr. Peter Henry reminded those gathered that this service is a miraculous transformation of profound sorrow and sadness into incomprehensible joy for the Resurrection to come.
