Archbishop Mark Blesses Newly Installed Iconostas at St. Herman Orthodox Church - 04/11/21
On Sunday April 11, 2021 dedicated to the memory of St. John of the Ladder, His Eminence Archbishop Mark celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church in Glen Mills, Pa., assisted by the pastor, Archpriest John Perich, Mitred Archpriest George Drozdowski, Archpriest Joseph Toroney, Protodeacon Gregory Chwastiak, Deacon Gregory Hubiak and Deacon Steven Orr.
His Eminence presented Gramoti to two devoted members of the Church Council, Anastasia Plisko and Christel Krugovoy for their many years of service to our parish.
The highlight of the visit was the blessing of the newly installed iconostas which was gifted from the Holy Trinity Church in McAdoo, Pa. The parish of St. Herman of Alaska is forever thankful to the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern PA., and especially the former parishioners of the Church in McAdoo for this magnificent iconostas.
Special thanks to Father Joseph Toroney, Joshua Toroney, Subdeacon John Pusey, Subdeacon Alex Nescott and all the volunteers who helped transport and reassemble the iconostas and the other carved analoys, communion table and Tetrapod (Table of Needs) from the Holy Trinity Church in Catasaqua, Pa.
