St. Stephen’s Hosts Annual Festival - 11/02/19

On Saturday , November 2, St. Stephen's Cathedral in Philadelphia sponsored its annual fall food festival. The perfect fall weather helped to insure a large and steady stream of visitors who enjoyed the many delicious ethnic foods.  The festival offered a tempting variety of hot and cold foods to enjoy in the church hall as well as a large selection of baked goods to eat in or take out.  Many of the visitors took home frozen perogie and holupki to enjoy later.  Some of our guests purchased items from the church store and many purchased raffle tickets for a large selection of attractive gift baskets.  Fr. Victor Gorodenchuk conducted hourly tours of the cathedral to introduce interested visitors to the Orthodox faith.  Some parents with children also took advantage of the crafts room for their children.  The food festival is a large  project that requires significant effort. but seeing and talking to happy guests justifies all the hard work.
