St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Church Celebrates 110th Anniversary - 07/15/17
St. Vladimir's Orthodox Church in Lopez, celebrated its 110th Anniversary on Saturday July 15, 2017, the Patronal Feast Day. The V. Rev. Fr. Dennis Hendershot, the V. Rev. Fr Michael Evans (a former pastor there); the V. Rev. David Shewczyk and the V. Rev. Fr. George Volkovinsky concelebrated the Liturgy with His Eminence Archbishop Mark. The Liturgy responses were sung by the Male Quartet of St. Tikhon's Monastery Chamber Choir. The Liturgy was well attended and followed by a catered lunch by Old School BBQ of Wyalusing with barbecued chicken, beef brisket and all the fixins'. Following lunch the Chamber Choir offered a brief concert in the Church. Afterwords the attendees were blessed by an outside concert with a local band.
