The Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania met for the 52nd Diocesan Assembly at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Jermyn PA on Thursday, January 28 and Friday January 29, 2016. Diocesan Council members, Clergy and representatives from parishes of each Deanery met to discuss important issues facing the Diocese.
Abbot Tryphon was our guest speaker for the 52nd Diocesan Assembly of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania. He words were both challenging and inspiring as we look to expand the mission in Eastern Pennsylvania. He challenged us at every level to be faithful to our Lord's command to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. As Orthodox Christians we must transcend nationalistic inclinations and be open to ministering to all the Lord brings across our path.
