Patronal Feast Celebrated at Holy Ascension Church, Frackville, PA

FRACKVILLE, PA [DOEPA]

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord, visitors and the faithful of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church in Frackville, PA, gathered to celebrate the patronal feast of the parish with much prayer and joy.

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Priest Kirill Zawatski, Acting Rector. The Liturgical Responses were prayerfully sung under the direction of Mrs. Erica Maher.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Father Kirill offered words of gratitude and encouragement to the parishioners and visitors in attendance, expressing thanks for the warm welcome he and Pani Oliva have received since their assignment to Holy Ascension. Archpriest Timothy Hojnicki, Vice-Chancellor of the Diocese, Dean of the Frackville Deanery, and Rector of Holy Apostles Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, conveyed the congratulatory greetings and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Mark, affirming the archpastoral care and support of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Following the service, a festive meal was offered and enjoyed by all, reflecting the spirit of fellowship and celebration that marked the day.
