BATH, PA [DOEPA COMMUNICATIONS]

On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the beginning of the Church New Year, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania and following close collaboration with Archpriest John Parsells and his team at Orthodox Web Solutions, the Diocesan Media Office is pleased to announce the launch of the new DOEPA app. Through the app, clergy and faithful can remain connected with the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania wherever they are. Users can access the latest diocesan news, upcoming archpastoral visits, daily scripture and lives of the saints updates, the diocesan calendar, photo galleries, official announcements, the parish directory, and much more, all from a phone or tablet.

“This app is another step in our continuing effort to keep diocesan communications high-quality and accessible” said Reader Nicholas Hojnicki, Director of Communications. “I’m really excited about this. My hope is that clergy and faithful will use this new platform to remain connected with the life of our God-protected Diocese throughout each day. By making the diocesan website easier to access and navigate on mobile devices, the app brings the life of the Diocese directly into the pockets of our clergy and faithful in a convenient and user-friendly format. Although the app is now available, work on it will continue, with additional updates and modifications planned as we seek to better serve the needs of the Diocese.”

The DOEPA app is free to install, and no app store is required. Users can simply visit doepa.org from a phone or tablet and add the app to their home screen in seconds. After installation, users are encouraged to enable notifications within the app to receive timely alerts about diocesan news, press releases, official announcements, summer camp and retreat registration, parish news, upcoming events, and other important updates. While the app is now available for use, its development will continue as the Diocesan Media Office works to introduce further improvements, refinements, and expanded features.

The Media Office extends its sincere gratitude to Father John and the team at Orthodox Web Solutions for their expertise, guidance, and dedicated collaboration throughout the development of the app.

Install the DOEPA app today and stay connected with the life of the Diocese wherever you go. For step-by-step installation instructions, please visit: doepa.org/our-app

Glory to God for all things!
