On Sunday, August 13, the community of St. John the Baptist welcomed His Eminence Archbishop MARK to serve Divine Liturgy. Concelebrating with his Eminence was Fr. Peter Henry. The Archbishop delivered an insightful homily regarding the struggle of Orthodox Christianity, and how we must use the tools of prayer and fasting in conjunction with all we do, urged our young members to stay focused and faithful, and the “process” (to coin a phrase) of Orthodox Christianity. A robust communion line led to dismissal, and the faithful gathered in Repella Hall to enjoy a Lenten meal where we broke bread and enjoyed vigorous Orthodox Fellowship. Glory to God for all good things - it was a fantastically beautiful morning of worship and fellowship and we thank Vladyka for his visit. Eis Polla, eti Despota!
