St. John the Baptist Sunday School Shares Thanksgiving Dinner with local Veterans - 11/19/2022
On Saturday, November 19, the Sunday School students and teachers, along with many parishioners cooked, delivered and served a full Thanksgiving meal to the Veterans living at St. Hedwig’s Veteran Center. Fr. Mike Evans led all in prayer, and everyone ate and enjoyed Orthodox fellowship.
This event is a yearly tradition and the parish always looks forward to it and supports it wholeheartedly. We have become fast friends with many of the veterans, who visit our church often.
Following dinner, each veteran was provided with a large bag of groceries and goodies to enjoy.
