Last Thursday, June 30 was a day of blessings and celebration as we commemorated our parish Feast Day, the Feast of the Synaxis of the Holy Apostles. The day began with Divine Liturgy celebrated by Father Fr. Timothy Hojnicki, who was joined by visiting priests: Father Gabriel Bilas (Saint Mary Magdalene, Fenton, MI), newly-retired Father Joseph Fester (recently moved to our area), Father Vjekoslav Jovicic (Saint Michael, Mount Carmel), Father Daniel Kovalak (Christ the Saviour, Harrisburg), Mtrd. Archpriest Nicholas Molodyko-Harris (HAOC, Mechanicsburg), Father Seraphim Reynolds (Holy Cross, Williamsport), and Father Stephen Vernak (Christ the Saviour, Harrisburg). After Liturgy, we hosted a Festal Breakfast Potluck for the faithful in attendance. Later that day, was our annual Feast Day Parish Picnic where parishioners, their families, and friends enjoyed warm fellowship, delicious food, fun games and activities, fantastic firepit, and a spectacular fireworks display!
