On Wednesday, March 23, the community of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA gathered for a Lenten Presanctified Liturgy. Fr. Michael Evans led the congregation in worship.
Preceding the Liturgy, Father Michael held a period for the sacrament of confession, which was well attended. We welcomed friends we have not seen in a while, as well as a few new faces who chose to celebrate with us.
Nearly the entire parish received the Body of Christ as the service concluded - the communion line stretched out the rear door.
“O taste and see how good is the Lord. Alleluia.”
