As we prepare to enter the Lenten Season, yesterday we heard one of Jesus's most powerfully emotional parables, The Prodigal Son. For most Orthodox Christians, this parable in which God calls us to return to him, particularly resonates with us. It eloquently shows us God’s forgiveness and merciful love. Most notable is the line “Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.”
