65th Wedding Anniversary Honored at Holy Apostles Church on the 14th Sunday after Pentecost

MECHANICSBURG, PA [DOEPA]

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the 14th Sunday after Pentecost, the Mitred Archpriest Nicholas and Matushka Anastasia Molodyko-Harris were honored at Holy Apostles Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, in celebration of their 65th Wedding Anniversary, marking 65 years since their wedding day on September 3, 1961.

Following the Ambo prayer, special prayers were offered for Father Nicholas and Matushka Anastasia by their son-in-marriage, Archpriest Timothy Hojnicki, Diocesan Vice-Chancellor, Dean of the Frackville Deanery, and Rector of Holy Apostles Church.

During the prayers, their wedding crowns were held over them by two of their grandchildren, Nicholas Hojnicki and Kyra Hojnicki. Adding to the significance of the celebration, Stephan and Margaret Pron, who served as the best man and maid of honor at Father Nicholas and Matushka Anastasia’s wedding in 1961, were also in attendance to celebrate the milestone with them.

After the prayers of thanksgiving, clergy, family, friends, and faithful gathered in the Church hall, where a special meal was prepared and served in honor of the anniversary and the couple’s many years of faithful married life. Their 65 years of marriage stand as a witness to a lifetime of faithfulness to one another and to Christ and His Holy Church.

On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Mark, the clergy, matushki, and faithful of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, the Diocesan Media Office extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mitred Archpriest Nicholas and Matushka Anastasia on this remarkable milestone and prayerfully wishes them many more blessed years together. многая лета!
