Archpastoral Prayer Request from His Eminence Archbishop Mark

Dear to God,

Christ is in our midst! He is and ever shall be!

I humbly ask that all the Clergy, Matushki, and Faithful of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania continue to remember in their prayers two members of my extended family during this difficult time.

Please remember in your fervent prayers my brother-in-law Bob (Robert) Lewen, the husband of my late sister, Mona, who is now in hospice care and is not expected to survive through the weekend. I ask that our merciful Lord grant His servant Robert peace and strength, and surround him and his loved ones with His abiding presence during these final days.

I also ask your prayers for the repose of my brother-in-law Bob (Robert) Eckert (+7/21/26), the husband of my sister Rhonda, who recently fell asleep in the Lord. His visitation will take place tomorrow, followed by his funeral on Friday. Please remember the newly departed servant of God Robert, that the Lord may grant him rest with the saints, where there is neither sickness, nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting.

During this difficult time, I ask that you also remember my entire family in your prayers, especially those grieving. May Christ grant comfort, strength, and peace to all who are affected by these trials.

May the Most Holy Theotokos, together with all the saints, intercede before the throne of God on their behalf.
