BATH, PA [DOEPA COMMUNICATIONS]
On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Mark, the Clergy, Matushki and Faithful of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, the Diocesan Media Office extends its warmest congratulations to Archpriest Mark Koczak, Rector of Assumption of the Holy Virgin Church in Philadelphia, PA, on the occasion of his 42nd anniversary of ordination to the Holy Priesthood.
Father Mark was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on Saturday, February 25, 1984, by the laying on of hands of His Eminence Archbishop Gregory [Afonsky] (+4/15/08) at Holy Annunciation Church in Santa Maria, CA, where he had originally been assigned as a Deacon. He faithfully served the parish community from 1982-1986, laying a strong foundation for parish life and ministry.
Throughout more than four decades of priestly ministry, Father Mark has served Christ’s Church with steadfast devotion, pastoral sensitivity, and faithful proclamation of the Gospel. His ministry reflects a deep love for the Church and a lifelong commitment to the service of God’s people.
We pray that God will grant Archpriest Mark, Matushka Janet, and their family many years. Axios!
