On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Mitred Archpriest Vladimir Petorak fell asleep in the Lord.
Mitred Archpriest Vladimir Petorak served as the Dean of Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Wilkes-Barre, PA, from 1968 until 1995. In retirement, he served Holy Resurrection Church in Alden Station, PA, until it left the canonical church. In 2019, he was awarded the right to wear the mitre. As a Diocese, we offer prayers for his wife, Matushka Elizabeth, and their family.
The funeral service and viewing for Father Vladimir will be held on Friday, October 4, at Holy Trinity Church, 401 E Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705-3925. Viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
