Today, the Orthodox world commemorates the passing of Protopresbyter Georges Florovsky (+8/11/1979), the former Dean of St. Vladimir’s Theological Seminary. His writings and books had major significance for Orthodox Christians in the 20th century. Specifically, his book “Bible, Church, and Tradition” had a profound influence on our own Archbishop’s conversion to Orthodoxy. On the anniversary of his repose, we pray that his memory be eternal!
