SOUTH CANAAN, PA [DOEPA]
On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, St. Tikhon's Summer Camp carried on with another full day of faith and fellowship as campers and counselors stayed engaged with fun activities.
The day began with an early Divine Liturgy at the Monastery Church, attended by the Gray Shirts (ages 14–17) and Green Shirts (ages 9–10). Many campers chose to attend and received Holy Communion.
Workshops for all age groups continued, focusing on the theme of the Parable of the Sower and becoming the good soil that receives the seed. The Gray Shirts had the opportunity to attend workshops led by His Eminence Archbishop Michael of New York and New Jersey and Archpriest John Parker, Dean of St. Tikhon’s Theological Seminary.
In addition to regular camp activities such as boating, swimming, iconography, and dance, various age groups also toured the Metropolitan Museum of the Orthodox Church in America.
After dinner, Daily Vespers was served by Archpriest Timothy Hojnicki, Vice-Chancellor of the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania, Dean of the Frackville Deanery, and Rector of Holy Apostles Church in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Following Vespers, s’mores were made and shared among the campers and staff.
Glory to God for all things!
