SOUTH CANAAN, PA [DOEPA]
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, St. Tikhon's Summer Camp continued with campers and counselors staying active and involved in the day’s events.
The morning began with an early Divine Liturgy at the Monastery Church, attended by the Gray Shirts (ages 14–17) and Yellow Shirts (ages 11–13). A number of campers chose to participate and partook of the Holy Mysteries.
Although rain during the day caused some activities to pause or move indoors, campers still made the most of their time. They took part in swimming, boating, workshops, and lessons when possible, and also enjoyed indoor activities like icon painting, dancing, and practicing liturgical music. Despite the weather, fun was still had among friends and staff.
After dinner, Daily Vespers was served by Archpriest Aleksey Paranyuk, Rector of St. Michael's Church in Mount Carmel, PA.
Afterwards, the older campers took part in a dodgeball tournament. Teams competed in a series of fast-paced games, with plenty of energy and teamwork on display. The tournament was a fun way for everyone to stay active and enjoy some friendly competition.
The day ended with campers reflecting on their experiences and looking forward to the activities ahead.
Glory to God for all things!
