Guidelines on Background Checks

A.   If you have an email address
please go to the following link to initialize your Background Check:

Then scroll down to Current Ministry Opportunities.
Under that heading, select Diocese of Eastern PA.
Then select the appropriate parish and continue.

B.    If you do not have email
print the following documents:
Updating Background Checks
Background Investigation
Application_Data_Collection_Form.docx

Fill out "Background Investigation," and "Application_Data_Collection_Form.docx" and mail them to:
Screening Coordinator
Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania

FINGERPRINTING INFORMATION
By State Law enacted in 2014 all Volunteers who have frequent contact with children as well as paid employees and clergy need to have fingerprinting done. The agency for the PA Department of Human Services is called IdentoGo.  http://keepkidssafe.pa.gov/cs/groups/webcontent/documents/document/c_267908.pdf  The Service Code is 1KG738. If someone does not have access to the Internet, you can still schedule an appointment by calling 844-321-2101. WE MAINTAIN 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW ON THIS MATTER, many of whom are retired clergy.
