Members of St. Nicholas,  Bethlehem,  Volunteer at Soup Kitchen - 03/10/16

For more than ten years,  members of St. Nicholas Church, Bethlehem,  have been volunteering  monthly at the Soup Kitchen sponsored by the Lehigh County Council of Churches.   The meals are prepared and served at St. Paul Lutheran Church in downtown Allentown.  It is open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the year and serves 110 to 150 plus members of the local community on each of those days.   Coordinator of the kitchen is Charles Brannon, assisted by Juanita Miller.   Volunteers from St. Nicholas include  Nancy Sabol,  Patricia Stetz-Grammes,  Nancy Kohudic,  Donald Dudash,  and Victoria Dimonie.   The group is in involved in all phases of preparation,  serving, and cleanup.  In addition,  each Fall  a special hot dog luncheon is held after Sunday Liturgy to raise funds for the Soup Kitchen.    Members of this Soup Kitchen ministry find it to be a very rewarding and enriching experience.
