St. Michael’s practices Community Outreach for St. Nicholas Day - 12/06/15

For St. Nicholas Day, St. Michael’s Orthodox Church in Mt. Carmel reached out to help the local community. Parishioners baked cookies and wrote out Christmas cards for the residents at the Serenity Garden Nursing Home. On December 5, Vespers were held at Serenity Gardens and Christmas Carols were sung for the residents. St. Michael’s had a Food Drive for the local food bank and provided  several much needed supplies. And finally, St. Michael’s helped the Lower Anthracite United Way with a coat drive and collected 29 coats plus cash.
