On Sunday, August 16, 2015, St. Stephen Cathedral was a site of special Service of Supplication to the Mother of God that was held by Orthodox Clergy Brotherhood in connection with World Meeting of Families event.  Fr. Martin Brown from St. Mark’s Orthodox Church gave inspiring homily in which he urged us to recommit ourselves to strengthening family values in our communities.  We had the great joy of having the miracle-working icon of St. Anna, the mother of the Virgin Mary, to be present with us and we also were joined by our Diocesan hierarch, Archbishop Mark.  There was a full church for this service and many of those who came were either from other Orthodox parishes or from neighboring non-Orthodox Christian communities.
