Archbishop MARK presents Gold Cross to Fr. George Volkovinsky at St. John the Baptist - 04/26/15
On Sunday, April 26 2015, the faithful welcomed His Eminence, Archbishop MARK, to St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Edwardsville, PA. During Divine Liturgy, before the Homily, His Eminence presented Fr. George Volkovinsky the Gold Cross for his dedicated service to both the parish of St. John the Baptist and for his years of service in Belarus. Fr. George was also elevated to the rank of Archpriest for his dedicated service to the Orthodox Church.
Following Divine Liturgy, the faithful retired to Repella Hall for a hearty breakfast, welcoming His Eminence, the newly elevated Archpriest, the Volkovinsky family, and many guests. During the breakfast, Father Michael Evans, attached to the parish, was elevated to “Photopresbyter.”
